Equipment & Safety

European premium boats, professional gear and a solid safety concept – so you can fully focus on your adventure on the River Traun.

Our Fleet – Quality You Can Feel

We exclusively use hand-picked boats from European premium manufacturers – sustainably produced, regularly maintained and perfectly suited for conditions on the River Traun.

Fanatic SUP

Premium brand · since 1981

Our stand-up paddle boards come from Fanatic – one of the most renowned brands in water sports with over 40 years of experience. The inflatable Fly Air Premium series features Double Layer Light technology: 25–35% stiffer and 20–25% lighter than standard boards. The woven SLT dropstitch fabric provides rigidity approaching that of hardboards – with all the comfort of an inflatable.

Max. 85–105 kg per person (depending on board size)

Gumotex Ontario S450

Czech Republic · since 1950 · sustainable

The Ontario S450 by Gumotex – handcrafted in the neighbouring Czech Republic by a company with over 70 years of tradition. Instead of PVC, Gumotex deliberately uses NITRILON®: a 3-layer composite of natural rubber and polyester. UV-resistant, abrasion-proof and significantly more eco-friendly than conventional inflatable boats. At 4.50 m length with space for up to 6 people, it's the perfect group boat for the Traun.

Max. 630 kg total (up to 6 persons, ~105 kg/pers.)

Zelgear Kayak

Comfort specialist · Europe

Zelgear stands for maximum comfort on the water. The ergonomic seats with 6-point support system, inflatable base and foam backrest make even longer tours enjoyable. The dropstitch floor is inflated to 0.5 bar, achieving the rigidity of a hard-shell kayak. V-shaped high-pressure hull for excellent glide performance. German PVC fabrics, Japanese and Italian fittings.

Max. 200–300 kg (depending on model, 2–3 persons)

Kutlíci Canoe Rio

Czech Republic · Wide variant

The Canoe Rio by Kutlíci in the extra-wide variant: the most stable boat type in our fleet. Thanks to its wide hull, it's virtually impossible to capsize – perfect for beginners and families. Made from German Valmex material for maximum shape retention and durability. Seats 2 adults comfortably, optionally with a child on the middle seat.

Max. 280 kg (2–3 persons)

Anfibio Packraft

Ultralight · since 2012

The lightweights of our fleet – from just 1 kg and small enough for any backpack. Anfibio uses TPU-coated nylon instead of PVC: free of plasticisers, UV-resistant and non-ageing. Innovations like the TwinTail V-stern for better tracking and the self-bailing VenturiTube system make these boats true adventure machines for experienced paddlers.

Max. 135 kg per person

Taking Care of Our Boats

  • No hard-soled shoes in the boat – neoprene shoes or barefoot is ideal
  • Don't drag boats over stones – always lift them into the water with a partner
  • Don't place sharp objects (keys, knives) directly on the boat material
  • Let sunscreen absorb before touching the boat – chemicals can damage the material

What to Do If You Capsize

Capsizing rarely happens on the Traun – but it's good to be prepared. Your life jacket keeps you safely afloat. Here are the key steps:

  1. Stay calm – your life jacket supports you, you cannot sink.
  2. Hold onto your paddle – it's your most important tool for getting back.
  3. Don't let go of the boat – it provides extra buoyancy and is easier for rescuers to spot.
  4. Float feet-first – never swim against the current, move diagonally towards the nearest bank.
  5. Head for shallow water – aim for the nearest flat riverbank.
  6. Empty the boat & catch your breath – flip the boat on shore, drain the water and calmly continue.
