Good to Know for Parents
Minimum Age
Children from age 8 can participate in all tours. Younger children are welcome on request -- we recommend the shorter family tour (6 km) in that case.
Safety First
Life jackets are mandatory for all participants and always included. Our certified guide leads every tour. Children must be able to swim. More about safety
What to Bring
Swimwear, sun protection, water shoes or old trainers, a change of clothes. We provide everything else (boat, paddle, life jacket). Download packing list (PDF)
Weather & Cancellation
Light rain is no problem -- the kids will get wet anyway! In case of thunderstorms or high water, dates are rescheduled free of charge. We contact you the evening before.
Meeting Point & Transport
We meet at our base in Lambach -- free parking available. Also reachable by train (Lambach station, 15-minute walk). We transfer you to the starting point and you finish right back at your car. Directions

Frequently Asked Questions
Can young children (under 8) participate?
On request and for the shorter family tour (6 km), children from age 6 can join -- provided a parent sits with them in the raft. Please let us know when booking so we can plan accordingly.
Do children need to be able to swim?
Yes, basic swimming ability is required. All participants wear life jackets at all times, but swimming confidence is important for everyone's safety and enjoyment.
Is prior paddling experience needed?
Not at all! Every tour begins with a thorough briefing on paddling technique and safety. Our guide explains everything in a fun, age-appropriate way. Most families are complete beginners -- and that is perfectly fine.
What happens in bad weather?
Light rain is no problem -- you will be on the water anyway! In case of thunderstorms or high water, we reschedule your date free of charge. We contact you the evening before if conditions look unsafe.
Can grandparents join too?
Absolutely! Our raft tours are suitable for all fitness levels. Grandparents are very welcome -- in the raft, you do not even need to paddle if you prefer to simply enjoy the ride.
